Workshop on Digital Security

The Digital Security Association of India successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Digital Security in India: Emerging Threats” at the Raman Auditorium, AC Tech Building, Anna University Campus, Chennai, on Saturday, 3 January 2026.

The workshop was inaugurated by Hon’ble Justice T.N. Vallinayagam, Chairman, National Cyber Security Research Council, New Delhi, and Presiding Judge, Lok Adalats, Madras High Court. The keynote address was delivered by Smt. Uma Sankar, Regional Director, RBI.

Event Report: AI Lecture Organised by DiSAI & Probus Club, Chennai

Chairman of DiSAI Shri V. Rajendran was introduced on 19th December 2025 by Shri C. Badri, President of Probus, Chennai, who highlighted that Shri Rajendran has over three decades of experience in public sector banking and cyber law consulting. He has authored books on IT Security and Cyber Crimes in banks, both published by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance and widely used as courseware for bank officials across India.

Report on DiSAI Webinar on 5.9.25 on the use of AI in today’s world

Shri V Rajendran, Chairman of DiSAI briefly described the objectives of DiSAI and the purpose behind organising this Webinar.

Shri Ramesh Bhashyam, Treasurer, introduced both the eminent speakers Shri Eka Pillai and Shri S.N. Ravichandran.

Shri Eka Pillai spoke on the digital disruption because of AI and its complete impact in today’s digital world and mildly cautioned the users on the flip side of AI usage too.

Shri Ravichandran spoke on the legal issues in AI and how the impact on industry is being dealt with in EU and other parts of the globe. Audience raised very thought provoking queries like usage of AI in criminal investigation, the social and the legal angle when AI or a robot itself is reported as an accused in a crime and the related techno legal issues.

Shri Naavi, the renowned IT Security expert gave his valuable inputs on the usage of AI and the liability of the persons behind the AI when it is involved in a criminal activity or such undesirable activities.

Shri Logesh Babu, briefly summed up the proceedings, duly acknowledging the brief summary itself was AI generated only and proposed Vote of thanks.

Student Chapter of DiSAI inaugurated in SRM IST Ramapuram Campus

Student Chapter of DiSAI was inaugurated by the Chairman Shri V Rajendran, in the presence of the Dean of the College and Dr Iniyan Nehru, Dy Dir General of NIC, Chennai and other dignitaries which included Mr Natarajan Swaminathan, the Senior Consultant, Cyber Security Practice TCS, Chennai, Mr Joel Ganesan, Microsoft, Bengaluru and Ramu Para, Director Cyber Security HTC Global, Chennai. Shri Vrajesh was nominated as the President of the Student Chapter. Secretary of DiSAI Shri Logesh Babu and Committee Member Shri Kaliyamurthy, were present.

Digital Security: Emerging Trends and Increasing Threats

The Digital Security Association of India, in collaboration with Indian Overseas Bank Chennai, organized a seminar on “Digital Security: Emerging Trends and Increasing Threats” at the Raman Auditorium, AC Tech Building, Anna University Campus, Guindy, Chennai, on Saturday, 4th January 2025.

Shri Joydeep Dutta Roy Executive Director, Indian Overseas Bank graciously delivered the keynote address at 10 AM.

The day-long event featured various thematic and lecture sessions, including:
➢ “Investigation of cybercrimes” by a Cybercrime Wing Officials
➢ “Dos and Donts in a Mobile by young Mobile Handset professionals and
➢ “Data Privacy and Digital Security” by experts
This was followed by a panel discussion with the participation of banking experts, cyberlaw advocates, social networking YouTubers, and other specialists.
