Founder Chairman & Managing Trustee

Shri V. Rajendran is an M.A. B.L. M.Com with CAIIB. A certified cyber forensic examiner from IDRBT and a CeISB from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, CISP from STQC, Govt of India, a Diploma holder in IT Law and a lead auditor in ISO 9001 and ISMS (ISO 27001).

Worked for over three decades in the public sector Indian Overseas Bank, including 15 years in its IT Department, as Chief Manager (Systems) heading areas like Information Systems Security, IS Audit Policy, CBS Maintenance, ISO documentation etc. After resigning from the bank, since 2008, practising as an advocate mainly handling cyber law cases and as a consultant on IT Security, technology in Banking, ISMS and related areas. Assisted various firms and corporate entities in drafting their IT Security Policy, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 standards and preparing for the eventual certification under the standards.

Authored the book on “IT Security” for bankers in 2012 and “Prevention of Cyber Crime and Fraud Management” in 2016 (both with subsequent re-prints and revisions) on behalf of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai (IIBF). Published articles in various professional magazines and journals and appeared in print and electronic media on many occasions.

A Guest Faculty and invited speaker on topics like cybercrimes, banking laws and bank frauds in various industry bodies, Universities and staff training colleges of police academy and banks. Past President of Cyber Society of India.

Vice President

Shri U.P. Prakasham is an accomplished Mechanical Engineer, holding a degree from the prestigious College of Engineering, Guindy. He further pursued a postgraduate course in Computer Science in the United States. As the head of Prakash Business Software Consultancy, he has made significant contributions to the field.

During his tenure as Managing Director of NEBULA Solutions Ltd., he introduced innovative software products that have had a substantial impact. Notable among these are QuesT, EC-Poll, InTelli-Tick, and Quiz-Pot, which have garnered widespread recognition.

Mr. Prakasham & his accomplishments extend beyond software development. He holds the Indian Patent for the ground-breaking ‘Verifiable Electronic Voting Device (VEVD)’. This invention has revolutionized the voting process, ensuring transparency and credibility. His diverse professional experience includes serving as a Director at Newlink Overseas Finance Limited and co-founding Exnora International. Additionally, he has held prominent positions such as Chairman of the All India Manufacturers’ Organization (AIMO, TNSB) and President of the Cyber Society of India.

Mr. Prakasham’s expertise is not limited to technology and business. He has showcased his intellectual prowess through various publications. His paper titled Customer Transaction Information Exchange was published in the CSI Annual Proceedings 1996, proposing a system for auto reconciliation in banks.

Secretary

Shri Ramesh Sethuraman is the founder-Secretary and a committed member of DiSAI. He holds senior leadership position at one of the leading global IT Service provider. and comes with over 23 years of experience in the entire gamut of IT operations globally, including especially the cyber security and related areas services.

Ramesh Sethuraman has worked across 4 continents and provided IT and Business advisory to several Fortune 500 companies. Ramesh has conducted several IT and cybersecurity related workshops for professionals from various industries and students from leading universities in the country.

Treasurer

Shri Ramesh Bhashyam is an IT Professional with more than three and half decades f rich experience in Information & Technology Industry which includes IT Strategy plus providing Software solutions to different vertical industries in the areas of Functional and Technical Consulting, User Requirement Analysis, Development, Testing & Implementation, End user Support etc.,

He is an Information and Cyber Security Consultant effective from 2016 onwards, providing information / cyber security services and solutions on ISO 27000, Data Privacy – GDPR, Penetration Testing etc., conducted Cyber Security Audits on ISO 27000, GDPR etc., for corporate entities including awareness and training program on Information and Cyber Security., a certified ISO 27000 Lead Implementer & DPO.

Nature of work involved Governance, Liasoning with Internal & External Stakeholders including Top Management, Maintenance & Support; Software Development Team includes Analyst, Team Leaders with extensive User interaction and providing support on Information Security solutions, Implementation on ISO 27001; EU-GDPR etc.,

Other Trustees

Shri M.J Logesh Babu, a qualified advocate by profession, digital forensic investigator by passion and a certified ethical hacker by heart. Practised for a few years in the High Court of Madras. Passionate about conducting seminars and such awareness initiatives on cyber laws, digital evidence and cybercrimes in schools, colleges, IT firms and for general public. A regular invited speaker in the Tamil Nadu Police Academy in almost in all its training programmes especially on subjects like cybercrimes, electronic offences and crimes in the social networking sites and recipient of special accomplishment citation from the DGP, Tamil Nadu. Handled the training sessions for the Hon’ble Judges of Madras High Court , in Chennai and in Madurai benches. Now, serving as the Zonal Head of Asian School of Cyber laws, Tamil Nadu, and Solicitor for SS Laws, an international law firm with branches across the globe. Founder and CEO of Poshcy Tech India P Ltd, a Chennai based firm engaged in cyber crime counselling, investigation, legal assistance etc.

Smt Panchi Subramaniam is a Technology entrepreneur, PayTech security expert and a certified independent director with almost three decades of experience in the industry. She runs her software company YesPanchi Tech Services Private limited in Chennai. She also holds directorship positions in various listed companies.

Earlier, she has spent almost two decades in architecting and leading a large PSU bank’s Internet/Mobile banking/Payment gateway and Information security.

She has presented at various seminars and made effective presentations with live discussions from participants among Cyber professionals community.

Various awards and recognition from Business leadership and Information technology community are to her credit.

Smt Rashmi Shanker is a technical writer, with extensive experience in creating user-friendly and comprehensive documentation for complex technical concepts. With a strong background in technology and a keen eye for detail, she excels in distilling complex information into clear and concise language for a wide range of audiences. With an exceptional research and communication skills she collaborates effectively with subject matter experts and translates technical jargon into accessible content. Proficient in various documentation tools with a proven track record of delivering high-quality user manuals, API guides, and troubleshooting documents on time. She is committed to delivering accurate, informative, and user-centric documentation that enhances the end user’s experience.

Smt R. Pratyusha is a B.Tech graduate from Chennai (Anna University affiliated college) in I.T. and has around 8 years’ experience in working in globally renowned MNCs in, Mobile software, Digital Rights Management, Mobile Application software testing and app security related domains. She is a CISA qualified information security auditor having appeared as an invited speaker in many colleges and Universities, on subjects like cybercrimes, information security etc. Now settled in London, UK. Passionate about Bharatanatyam, Music and such areas and takes up coaching in these subjects.

Shri Dr.B. Muthukumaran is a passionate networking and cyber security professional coming with around two decades of academic experience and more than 15 years of industry experience as the team head of various consultancy assignments like designing, architecting, analysing and implementing different security standards and such security guidelines. He is an invited speaker in various industry and professional bodies including the staff training centres of various banks, IT firms and the T.N. police academy.

Shri C. Badri is a former banker having retired as a General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer from Indian Overseas Bank and General Manager from Canara Bank. Ever since retirement on superannuation, he takes active part in all events of DiSAI and served as the Chairman of Event Management Committee of DiSAI, lending enormous support in our workshops and seminars.

Shri D.M. Ajay , works as a researcher in the area of cybersecurity. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science. His research interests include Data Security, Internet Governance and their application in diverse domains. He been a fellow at multiple prestigious internet governance forums, which includes Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG) organized by the Internet Society, Indian School on Internet Governance (inSIG), and an Ambassador at the YouthxPolicyMakers program organized by the Youth Internet Governance Forum, Germany in partnership with German Informatics Society.

Our Past Trustees

Shri K Srinivasan is a former banker, mentor and trainer in communication related areas and is the founder of Prime Point Foundation which has instituted Sansad Ratna awards. He is the Publisher and Mg. Editor of eMagazine PreSense. He is the Convenor of Educational Loan Task Force (ELTF) and Chairman of Digital Journalists Association of India (DiJAI). He was a trustee till June 2021.

Dr.R. Jagannathan is a well-known academician and educationist. He was the Vice Chancellor of Middle East University (UAE) and American Medical University (West Indies). He is the President of the Sethu Bhaskara Group of Educational Institutions. He is a visiting Professor to many International Universities. He was the President of DiSAI for the period until June 2021.
